Horse-friendly neck rope made of hand-braided climbing rope. The size is adjustable through the movable loop. There is a stainless steel ring where you can attach a lead rope if desired. Ideal for when you and your horse are not yet ready for Liberty work but no longer want to train with a rope halter during groundwork. Of course, the neck rope can also be used while riding. The purpose of a neck rope is to further refine natural communication and trust between horse and rider, potentially eliminating the need for a bridle in the future through practice. It also serves as a decorative accessory for your horse.
Starting with riding using a neck rope:
To start, we always recommend practicing in an enclosed arena where you can practice until you and your horse master braking and steering with the neck rope. Optionally, use a bridle initially. The better your horse responds to seat aids, the easier the transition from bridle to neck rope often becomes.
