EDIX Bareback Pad SignorThe EDIX Signor is an anatomically shaped, premium-quality bareback pad made from genuine lambskin.
Key Features:
Benefits of the Merino Pad:
Riding feels like floating on a cloud! A ride with this bareback pad is an ultra-comfortable experience for both rider and horse.
The front leather handle provides an easy way to carry the pad from your horse to the stable or your car.
The lambskin is antibacterial, therapeutic, regulates heat and moisture, improves pressure distribution, and prevents friction.
Great freedom of movement for the horse.
Excellent pressure distribution.
Where the rider’s leg rubs during riding, a leather reinforcement prevents wear.
High-quality Merino wool remains one of the most advanced natural materials available.
Disadvantages of the EDIX Bareback Pad:
Since lambskin comes from sheepskin, the production is not sheep-friendly.
Not ideal for use in rainy conditions.
Lambskin is smooth and may slide more easily than an anti-slip pad.

Design of the EDIX Signor Bareback Pad
The pad features side pockets for carrying small trail items and several D-rings to attach a breastplate or small tack. The front leather handle makes transporting the pad easier. With no rigid internal components, the horse enjoys complete freedom of movement, especially through the back and shoulders. This encourages fine communication between horse and rider.
The base is made from strong, foam-padded cotton. The seat area features a removable zippered panel with genuine Merino® sheepskin. High knee blocks and a cantle made of stable but flexible foam provide rider support and comfort.
EDIX Pad Inserts
Two large insert pockets are located on each side of the spine, accessible via Velcro closures. Each pocket has two compartments: one filled with felt and one with 3D mesh. Other insert types can be used as desired. Combined inserts provide excellent pressure distribution and balance. If stirrups are used, regularly check comfort and wear. The stirrup attachment is aligned with the inserts, so rider weight is evenly distributed across the pad layers. The 30 mm Merino wool fibers also wick away sweat and absorb shock effectively.
V-Girth System
The Signor features a V-girthing system with D-rings to attach the girth straps. This system ensures better girth placement and pressure distribution, especially for intense riding sessions, offering extra comfort to the horse.
Use Recommendation
Since full lambskin (not just woven wool) is used, the natural benefits of the material are fully preserved. For optimal performance, use the bareback pad directly on the horse's back without an additional saddle pad.

Merino lambskin

The pad is machine washable on a cold cycle using a lambskin-specific detergent. Let it dry slowly and out of direct sunlight. Inserts are removable.
