Anatomical Comfort
The anatomical headpiece is designed to relieve pressure around the ears, while the specially shaped throatlash keeps the cheekpieces comfortably away from the horse's eyes. Both the headpiece and the noseband are softly padded and anatomically contoured to maximise comfort.
The headpiece is adjustable at the top, allowing the bridle to be tailored to the individual horse. Thanks to the anatomical design of the headpiece, cheekpieces, and throatlash, the bridle remains stable without the need for a browband. The noseband is beautifully finished with signature Brightstar beadwork, creating a distinctive and elegant appearance.
How the EDIX ED2 Sidepull Works
The EDIX ED2 is a sidepull bridle with the reins attached directly to rings on either side of the noseband. Rein aids are transferred directly to the horse's nose, providing clear, immediate communication.
When both reins are applied, pressure is distributed across the nose. As soon as the rider releases the reins, the pressure disappears instantly, creating an immediate release that many horses find easy to understand.
When a single rein is used, the opposite side of the bridle applies gentle pressure, encouraging the horse to bend and turn naturally in combination with the rider's seat and leg aids. The wide, softly padded noseband distributes pressure evenly, making the EDIX ED2 a gentle and comfortable bitless bridle.
