A Hackamore bitless bridle is another bridle that applies pressure around the nose. The effect is sharper due to the Hackamore shanks in the bitless bridle. These shanks have a leverage effect: the larger the shank, the greater the leverage. Aids given with your hand are therefore amplified by the Hackamore shank, resulting in a greater impact on your horse.
